Redmi smartphone users will no longer receive MIUI updates or any Global Beta updates in the future. This clearly means that software support will not be available on those handsets. This announcement has been made on the Mi Community Forum. This will affect all global users including India.

These are Xiaomi's Redmi models that no longer have any software support :

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Xiaomi Redmi 3S

Xiaomi Redmi 3X

Xiaomi Redmi 4

Xiaomi Redmi 4A

Xiaomi Redmi Pro

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

The Redmi phones mentioned in the list will get normal security updates. But do not use these phones for a long time as the company may also stop supporting this soon. To be up-to-date with the latest MIUI software, it is true that you buy new devices.
