Galaxy Note8, S8, and S8+ Android Pie beta has spread to the US unlocked

In a completely unforseen move, Samsung opens a public beta program for its Android 9 Pie update for its previous-gen flagships, namely the Galaxy Note8, S8, and S8+. And this has been available for a while in some markets, including the UK and the company's home of South Korea.

You can now get a slice of Android Pie, with a dash of Samsung's new One UI paradigm on top, if you own an unlocked Note8, S8, or S8+ in the US.

To jointhe beta program, you need to register via the Samsung+ app. The option you need is found under Notices. You will receive an over-the-air update to the testing release as soon as you secure a place in the program.

Once you have that installed, you'll begin running build G950U1UEU5ZSAB on the S8, G955U1UEU5ZSAB on the S8+, and N950U1UEU5ZSAB on the Note8, respectively. The updates have the January 2019 security patches along with everything new that One UI has added.
