Google’s mysterious new device Coral spotted on Geekbench

According to the listing on the Geekbench website, the upcoming Google Coral device runs Android Q. It is also going to have an Qualcomm SoC hoping Snapdragon 855 SoC with eight cores featuring a base frequency of 1.78GHz.

The Google device has received a single-core score of 3,296 and a multi-core score of 9,235. The new Android version could come with new notification gestures and other privacy sections update. A couple of recent reports also hinted at a system-wide dark mode and a dedicated desktop mode.

In terms of benchmarking performance, Google's mysterious new device scores 3296 in the single-core score and 9235 in the multi-core score. While these numbers are higher than what Google's 2018 flagship devices-- Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL-- that run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor scored on on the benchmarking site, they are not high enough for a device running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, My Smart Price noted. For reference, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL scored 2366 and 8195, and 2400 and 8379 in the respective categories.

As far the launch date is concerned, Google will release a stable version of Android Q at Google I/O before officially unveiling it around August.
