LG is set to introduce a foldable smartphone at MWC 2019
Date: 19 January 2019
MWC 2019: With CES 2019 completely over, we are now anticipating the Mobile World Congress going to hold in Barcelona next month. Amongst the Big players going to attend are Xiaomi, LG and Sony. South Korean sources have declared that LG will showcase its foldable smartphone at the MWC.
Unlike the ones introduced before it, it doesn't have a flexible screen. It is similar to the ZTE Axon M, but with a thin bezel which would combine both screens into one big display.
The company is taking this path in order to keep the device in the price range of $900 instead of about $1,800.
The phone is also said to have touchless inputs which allow hand gestures from about 20 to 30 centimeters. This technology would be introduced to both their G and V series, as well as the Foldable phone.
