Meizu releases teaser of first holeless phone, which would be unveiled today

The vivo APEX 2019 – a phone with no buttons or ports – will be unveiled tomorrow on the 24th of January. However, Meizu plans on stealing their spotlight by unveiling the first official “holeless” phone today.

Keep in mind that“holeless” doesn’t refer to a phone without a punch hole selfie camera. There are obviously a lot of those around. In this case, it means there is no USB port, no headphone jack, and no openings into the phone’s body.

The reasons why? Our guess the completely smooth exterior will look completely amazing. And when paired with fast wireless charging, it wouldn’t be too different from how many phones work in this day and time (with wireless headphones, cloud data syncing and whatnot).

Whether the earpiece, loudspeaker grille and hardware buttons would count as “holes” is yet to be known. But it seems like the vivo won’t have any buttons, and may use a pop-up selfie camera.
