South Korea Becomes First To Launch 5G Network Officially
South Korea has launched commercially 5G services before the US. According to media reports, according to local time of South Korea, the 5G service has been launched at 11 am on April 3. Korean telecom company SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus have rolled out the service professionally from the night of 3 April. Earlier it was preparing to launch commercially on April 5. US has said that the commercial launch of South Korea's 5G service is publicity stunt.
Also, Verizon is preparing to launch its 5G service. Verizon is telling the world's first service to its 5G service. The South Korean government has signed six celebrities as the first 5G subscriber to start 5G service in their country. American telecom company Verizon is preparing to officially launch its 5G service on April 11. Even before its official launch, the service was spotted at some locations including Chicago.
