LG's G7 ThinQ started beta testing with Android 9 Pie sometime in November and promises to deliver the update in Q1 2019 and finally it is here—specifically in South Korea as the company typically releases all updates to its home market first before doing so globally.

There is plenty to look out for. The changed log includes Pie’s gesture navigation system, battery optimization features and the ability to use two social networking apps simultaneously.

The camera also gained LG V40’s Magic Photovams it allows users to animate parts of an image. Other changes include security enhancements features, like managing folder access, Wi-Fi permissions for applications and the ability to enable SD card encryption without a secure lock screen.
