Xiaomi launched its Mi Soundbar with two new television models in India

Xiaomi has launched a new soundbar in India which is known as the Mi Soundbar,m priced at INR 4,999 ($71) and will be available exclusively through their website—Mi.com and Mi Home stores from January 16.

The Mi Soundbar consists of eight drivers with two tweeters, two woofers and four passive radiators which are all powered by a 28W amplifier. The soundbar also accepts optical, coaxial, RCA, and line-in inputs. It has a Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless connectivity and for some reason, Xiaomi doesn't have a remote control for the unit, and it is still not clear if it supports one at all.

Overall, the unit looks like a well-designed, affordable soundbar for basic listening but the relatively low power rating and the lack of a remote require you to definitely try it out first before purchasing.

Alongside the Soundbar, Xiaomi launched two new televisions. First of the pair is the Mi LED TV 4X PRO 55 that has a 4K HDR panel, 20W speakers, Xiaomi's PatchWall UI built stationed on top of Android TV OS and a new 64-bit quad-core Amlogic processor with about 2GB RAM, 8GB storage and an improved image processing. The price of this model is INR 39,999 ($568).

The second is the Mi LED TV 4A PRO 43, which has a 1080p display, similar 20W speakers, PatchWall UI, and a quad-core Amlogic processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB worth of storage. This model is INR 22,999 ($327).
