How to turn on Caps Lock on a Chromebook Any long run laptop user can testify that a Chromebook keyboard is a bit discouraging. at first blush it’s going to look familiar, then again you notice there is no print screen key, no delete button, no function row keys and there are some new keys that you simply could ne’er have seen.

The omissions of specific keys, however, doesn’t mean you cannot get the same result. One unremarkably used key that’s missing is Caps Lock, however you’ll still simply turn that on and off. Here’s how.

1. Hit alt + search (the magnifying glass or Assistant icon), the latter of that is in the place you’d search for a Caps Lock key. {you’ll see|you can see} an arrow seem on the bottom right notifications bar and a pop-up will warn you that Caps Lock is on.

2. tap Shift to show off Caps Lock.

3. as an alternative, you’ll also tap alt + Search to show Caps Lock off, or tap on the time icon within the bottom right corner, and click on Caps Lock is on.

Pro Tip: to change any keyboard combination, together with the way to activate Caps Lock, tap the notifications bar on the bottom right. Then tap Settings > Keyboard Settings to vary the behavior of any of the special keys.
